Privacy Policy
🚀 TL;DR (Too Long; Didn't Read)
We only collect anonymous step counts for leaderboards.
Your personal health information stays on your device where it belongs.
🛡️ Data Collection
We collect minimal, anonymous data for leaderboards only.
What we collect: Anonymous step counts and system-generated user IDs for global leaderboard rankings.
What we DON'T collect: Names, emails, personal information, location data, or any identifiable health data.
Your anonymous leaderboard ID (like "USER_ABC123") cannot be traced back to you personally.
🏥 Health Data Usage
Your personal health data stays on YOUR device.
- What we access: Steps, walking/running distance, flights climbed, active calories burned
- Why we access it: To display your fitness progress, calculate XP points, unlock achievements, and enable leaderboard competition
- Where it goes: Personal health data stays on your iPhone. Only daily step counts shared anonymously for leaderboards
- Who else sees it: Nobody can see your personal health data. Only anonymous step counts appear on leaderboards
- How long we keep it: Step counts stored temporarily for leaderboard rankings. Personal health data always yours in Apple Health
🚫 What We DON'T Do
- Create user accounts or require registration
- Collect names, emails, or personal identifiers
- Use analytics, crash reporting, or usage tracking
- Display advertisements or use ad networks
- Share data with third parties for marketing/advertising
- Track your location or movements
- Access your contacts, photos, or other personal data
- Use cookies, pixels, or web beacons
- Employ A/B testing or user behavior analysis
- Link leaderboard data back to your real identity
📱 How Your Data Works
Most data processing happens locally on your device:
- Your iPhone's Health app collects step data from motion sensors
- Step Matrix reads this data with your explicit permission
- XP, levels, and achievement progress calculated locally on your device
- Anonymous step counts sent to secure database for leaderboard rankings only
- System generates anonymous ID (like "USER_ABC123") for leaderboard display
- All personal app settings and progress save to your device storage only
- Delete the app = all local Step Matrix data disappears, leaderboard entry becomes inactive
🏆 Global Leaderboards
Anonymous competition with cyber-warriors worldwide:
- Data shared: Daily step counts only - no personal health metrics
- Identity protection: System-generated anonymous IDs (e.g., "USER_ABC123")

- Secure transmission: Step data encrypted during transmission to our servers
- Data retention: Step counts stored for leaderboard rankings, no long-term personal profiles
- Opt-out: Delete the app to stop participating in leaderboards
- No social features: No messaging, friend lists, or social interactions
